Residents move into Stafford Yard, the latest development milestone for the Bedminster Green regeneration project.
This month, new residents have begun moving into Stafford Yard, a development built by Dandara Living, which sits between Little Paradise and Stafford Street, facing on to Malago Road.
Featuring 295 build-to-rent apartments, resident amenities include private balconies, roof terraces with vegetable beds, a gym, lounge, flexible workspace as well as courtyard gardens. Stafford Yard has also delivered 21 affordable homes within the North block which is already fully occupied.
Conveniently located near public transport links and an improved cycle lane network, Stafford Yard is within walking distance to Bristol’s city centre and Bristol Temple Meads. The basement level contains 71 car parking spaces with 17 of these being accessible for people with disabilities. The main block can store 388 cycles across two store locations; the North block can store 31 cycles within a single location.
Roof terraces and vegetable beds have been built to encourage biodiverse micro-climate habitats for invertebrates, in turn providing foraging resources for birds and bats. While the connection to the District Heat Network provides low carbon heating generated off site.
The development has also seen improvements made to Little Paradise and Stafford Street, including additional cycling infrastructure on Stafford Street to re-route and better provide for the Malago Greenway that runs through Bedminster Green and on to the city centre.
Leicester Street has been extended to create a new connection for pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles between Little Paradise and Mill Lane and Stafford Street; and new residents moving into Stafford Yard is also great news for East Street, generating significant additional footfall and economic benefit as they seek to socialise and shop locally.
Earlier this year, Stafford Yard was awarded Residential Development of the Year (+100 units) at the Insider South West Residential Property Awards 2025.
